I'm Giving Up On Sports
Jul. 7th, 2008 02:01 pmI'm giving up on all Cleveland sports!!
Today, the head office of the Cleveland Indians has committed sports suicide. They have traded our Ace pitcher, C.C. Sabathia, last year's Cy Young winner, to Milwaukee for prospects. Prospects!!!!! We're not even getting someone who is all ready playing for the big team. Just a couple of guys who are in AA.
I know they raised the white flag weeks ago on this season, but is that any reason to get rid of one of the best pitchers currently playing the game. They claim he stalled out the talks and all that jazz on his next contract, but if they really wanted to keep him, they could have tried harder.
This is just another, of a LONG line of big mistakes the owners of all of our teams have made. And then they wonder why attendance is down. Maybe you guys should try something new. LIKE KEEPING FAN FAVORITES. PAYING THEM WHAT THEY ARE WORTH. STOP MAKING STUPID TRADES.
Here's another novel idea, how about getting managers and coaches who know what they're doing. How about getting a strength and conditioning coach that actually does their job, instead of letting their players get injured. Or a batting coach that gets them to actually hit the ball, instead of trying to hit the ball out of the park and then getting an out because of a pop up that's 450 feet straight up.
I GIVE UP!!!!
Maybe I'll just throw a dart at a board full of team names and pick another team to cheer for, cause Cleveland isn't doing anything to get my support.
