Med Rant or Donation Fail part 2
Med situation has changed ... big time!

Ok, Yesterday I was ranting about a charity that I thought was at the heart of my daughter's medication error. Well it turns out the problem was with UPS. They mis-delivered said package. Something I never had to deal with before from them. I'm not saying that UPS has never made a mistake, I'm sure they have, I just never had that issue, so coming to another conclusion seemed more plausible.
I got the delivery today, with the box marked in several places "Mis-delivered". Good thing I didn't call the charity to bitch them out. Actually I was I the middle of dialing them when UPS showed up.
From the looks of it, UPS picked the packed up on Saturday, and instead of trying to deliver on Saturday, it was sent back to the warehouse, were it sat the whole weekend. The additional tags on the box look like they resorted it for delivery today.
I've since called the specialty pharmacy about the shipping error and they said the medication was "outside" too long and is no longer usable. So $2000 of medication is now toast. The pharmacy is now looking at how we can get another shipment to us.
At least we don't have to worry about paying for the new shipment out of our pocket.
